[argyllcms] First experiments with EyeOne II on windows

Hi,

after playing on my Linux laptop I wanted to compare ArgyllCMS with Eye-One Match on Windows. So I profiled the screen first with Eye-One Match 3 (3.6.1, set to ICCv4 and LUT) and then ArgyllCMS.
(NEC 2190UXp, D65, Gamma 2.2, 100cd/m²)

Afterward I compared the profiles with the 3D view of Microsofts CM applet.
The Eye-One profile extends significantly further to the bottom than the ArgyllCMS profile. The ArgyllCMS extends sligtly further on the top side in some areas.

So where are the lacking parts from the bottom?

When playing around I also noticed the size of the profiles is quite different (<1K for Eye-One Match, 4K for ArgyllCMS). Guess that is a result of specifying a high number of patches...

I tried loading the EyeOne profile with dispwin, but that did not work. What is the quickest way to load the profile (actually the LUT parts) of non Argyll generated pofiles?

I used the following commands from ArgyllCMS:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
@REM echo off
REM Calibrate TFT to Gamma 2.2 D65 with ArgyllCMS

set base=%1%
set PATH=c:\argyll\bin;%PATH%
set M="NEC"
set T="2190UXp"
C:
cd \tmp

dispwin -c

dispcal -v -g2.2 -K -qh -yl -t6500 %base%

targen -d 3 -f 500 %base%

dispread -yl -k %base%.cal %base%

echo "Generating profile ..."
profile -A %M% -M %T% -D afxNEC -qh -as %base%

echo "Done..."
dispwin %base%.icm
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

cheers
afx
