[argyllcms] Extracting Lab colors from TIFF images

Is there a way to go beyond the gam file out of tiffgamut?

Ideally, I'd like to convert the pixels values of an image to its native
space, whether it'd be Lab or RGB or CMYK or grayscale. 

I don't see any such parameters that could trigger this behaviour in the
documentation.
