The -c option selects the instrument or communication
channel. There may be more than one USB instrument available
on the system, and Roger was selecting the second instrument.

I could make it so that all serial channels were interrogated so
that the instruments on them are listed, but this would slow down
the program startup, and could mess up gear that's not an instrument
and is connected to a serial channel.
