[argyllcms] Re: DTP20 (Pulse) patch size error

Hi Graeme,

Argyll doesn't ask to read the TID strip. This is what I get:

Chartread.exe -v 1400_Pulse_Plain_Paper
Steps in each Pass = 30
Passes in each Strip = 17
 Instrument Type: DTP20
 Serial Number: 00641
 Main Date Code: FB01
 Main Version: 1.03
 Boot Version: 1.03
The battery charged lever is 75%

Ready to read strip pass A
Press 'f' to move forward, 'b' to move back, 'n' for next unread, 'd' when
done, Esc or 'q' to quit without saving.
Trigger instrument switch or any other key to start:

The row patches from Argyll are 6.4 by 10 mm while the patches from
MonacoPROFILER are 6.7 by 12 mm. The TID patches are 6mm by 10mm for Argyll
and 6mm by 12 mm for Monaco.

Is the instrument sensing bleed from the rows above and below that aren't
being masked using the Argyll chart? About a mm of the row above and below
isn't covered. With the TID this would correspond to 2mm of white space
above the TID patches if I line up the guide with the bottom of the TID
patches.

As mentioned the Pulse has no issues reading the MonacoProfiler or ColorPort
charts.

Hi,
was that in response to reading the TID strip ?

The TID patches have to be exactly the right length (6mm) or the instrument
won't read them. Are they this length on your chart ?

As far as I know, the normal patches can't be other than 6.5mm in length
either,
which is why the -a parameter doesn't do anything fo the DTP20.

What length are the patches on the other charts you are comparing it to ?

Graeme Gill.
