You can certainly build a RGB = XYZ identity profile, but it is impossible to 
have a single destination profile, such that the source RGB -> destination RGB 
transformation does not alter the source RGB numbers, for any arbitrary source 
profile being combined with this destination profile. You can only achieve a 
RGB -> RGB identity transformation if both, source and destination profile 
describe the same RGB color space.
