It's hard to know if this would really be the case, particularly if the display
brightness changes markedly as well (because you can't set more than 100% in
a display color channel). My impression is that most professional color users
of displays would find a changing color temperature to be most strange, and
counter to the business of critical image evaluation. Generally they want
stability and repeatability. That's why they will go to the trouble of
painting their surrounds a neutral color, and controlling the ambient lighting.

Artistic or inspirational use is really a quite different thing.
