I think the i1 Pro device is not being discontinued (to do that, they'd atleast have to offer an comparable instrument that reads the same, widely used control strips as the i1, otherwise people may get angry ;)), only cetain packages which included it (i1 Design/Photo/Proof). These are replaced by the ColorMunki and i1Basic/i1Xtreme packages, the latter two still include an i1 Pro spectro.

The only difference I find out is that the i1 pro can measure ampi light and the colormunki not. I am special interested in the difference in quality by Monitor Profiling. Is there any Information in the Internet where somebody do compare the quality of Measurement devises. Because I am also interested in buying the DTP 41 or 70 for Printer profiling. thanks

Without going into deep technicaly details I would perfer the i1 pro.
With an i1 pro you get a well known a supported measurement device.
There are a lot of apps and tools out in the market you can use with this device.
