[argyllcms] Re: Color laser printer profiling

I did some of the initial testing of the "scanner as a poor man's colorimeter"
on a laser copier, but I made use of the copiers scanner, which was
probably made to give reasonable results when used with it's
own prints.

I have mostly positive experience with both built-in and external scanner for calibrating an re-linearizing laser copiers and printers. One exception was a company who used "ordinary" office paper (with a high amount of FWA). The linearization caused a strong yellow cast and ugly banding in the highligts (even through the profile was made for the same type of paper). The linearization produced dependable results as soon as they used paper with lower FWA amount. I never tried to /profile/ a laser printer with a scanner -- it was just a assumption.
