Okay, just a quick update: the new -A option reduces the visual differences between the low neutral RGB values. I used your recommended starting point of setting it to 4. Compared to without the blending, differences minimized noticeably. I will have to experiment with that more tomorrow. I was only able to create quick profiles with dispcal as of now and thus had no opportunity to use profcheck (no .ti3 reference without dispread). Thanks for your effort, I will let you know what further testing will show.
