That is a sensible idea, Gerard. But that seems like a lot of efforts, there
has to be a simpler way.

Now, it looks like the i1D2 has the capabilities I am looking for. So, on to
X-Rite for the follow up for the i1D2 SDK. We'll see what they say.

But, how feasible, in your opinion, would the idea of post-correcting the
monitor profile with an abstract profile grafted on the original monitor
profile be feasible?

Or could there be a way that the XYZ primaries be redefined a posteriori
(after doing the profile) so that the new redefined values would do the same
job as custom calibrating the instrument for the particular display?

I'm just thinking aloud.
