Yes, I did mention that possibility too, but I think Roger would
like to be able to use the instrument with other packages too.
Btw, do you know whether this is a three-filter instrument, or does it
possibly have even more than three filters/sensors?
I think that the DTP94 has four filters ("XYZx'"), and the i1Display
has 3 ("RGB"). The i1display has the scope for 4 (looking at the
hardware), but I don't know if there is actually a sensor fitted
to it, and I don't see any evidence that the standard software
uses such a thing. The X-Rite documentation could be interpreted to
mean that there is no sensor matrix in the DTP series, and that
the filters are assumed to be XYZ spectral sensitivities (after
the X and x' channels are blended).
