[argyllcms] Beta 8 on OS X 10.5.2

So, I've had far too many distractions keeping me away for far too long.... 

Anyway, I just tried using an i1 Pro with beta 8 on:

$ uname -a
Darwin bud.trumpetpower.com 9.2.2 Darwin Kernel Version 9.2.2: Tue Mar 4 21:17:34 PST 2008; root:xnu-1228.4.31~1/RELEASE_I386 i386
The display window doesn't appear until after calibration. (Calibration is successful.) Dispcal then complains, ``Sample read failed due to communication problem.'' After again pressing the any key, it exits with, ``Bus error.'' OS X then complains that the application unexpectedly quit. 

Beta 7 works just fine.

Do you need more information?

(My arm's in a sling, else I'd try more stuff first....)
