Normally going back into DOS would _not_ re-execute AUTOEXEC.BAT. It
would be the same as exiting any DOS program.
And anything already loaded by it on boot up should still be there.
What may be happening is that Windows is closing everything on exiting.
It shouldn't be necessary to re-execute the whole of AUTOEXEC.BAT, just
the lines to reload your packet driver. You can add those lines to
WIN.BAT after co80,25.
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
