arachne4dos @coollist.com General List ----------------
All,
As you might remember, I've been working away at an alternate distro
of Arachne. Well, I have a release about half beta tested. It's been
run by five guys and it's stable, tho some bugs still need to be
shaken out and there are no options pages yet. Free memory is over 100K
better than the .std distribution and my last speed tests show it
renders about 30% faster, tho I myself find that hard to believe --
but it is noticably faster anyway. So I'm trying to hunt down some
more testers/users. It is quite a bit different from the .std distro
in some ways, especialy connection and the keywords. Don't even
think of trying it if you believe nothing should ever change.
Thing is, that Glenn's about to release the JS code and I'd like to
get to work on that, but in the mean time, I'd like to have my
existing work getting some milage, so it can be totaly debugged, so that
when I start to include JS stuff, it's going into a rock solid
base.
Regards,
Regards,
Ray Andrews
