v1.90;Jn is Joe's version numbering system.
His 'branch' of development has now diverged from mine.
Joe's v1.90;J3 (which he has not yet released), includes 'built-in'
news group reader capabilities & 'built-in' IRC
My version numbers have always gone-up in .02 incements starting with
the 1st release that CAV and I did of v1.71
1.71, 1.73, 1.75.... 1.87, 1.89,
1.91 was skipped in-favor of Joe's v1.90;JG & 1.90;J1
I then released my v1.93, and now v1.95
Version 1.93 was described as.....
v193;GPL is essentially Joe's v1.90;J1 with just few small 'tweaks'
Most notably.... dial-up connection info will now be written
into LSPPP.CFG for use with LSPPP.EXE as dialer/packet driver.
The setup 'wizard' and internal connection setup pages now give
the option of choosing MINITERM/EPPPD as dialer/packet driver
or LSPPP which is both a dialer and packet driver all-in-one.
In addition..... this version also includes quite a few changes 'stolen'
from Joe, Ray, Werner & Udo which will also be in Joe's next release.
Also included is a new 'help file' written by Christof Lange. (connword.htm)
This release is being made available strictly as a 'fill-in'
while we wait for Joe to release his new v1.90;J3
______________________________________________________________________________
And now v1.95 is described as.....
v195;GPL is essentially Joe's v1.90;J1 with just few small 'tweaks'
Most notably.... as with the last few 'silent updates' to v1.93,
Arachne now achieves 'full speed' capability on cable/DSL connections.
(she is now reaching speeds of 320kb/sec on my 3megabit/sec DSL)

Now is that 'nuf said? ;-)
