That is as weird a definition of "built-in" as I have ever heard because
it simply means that once a program is installed and in the PATH, it is
also built into the DOS itself. Sorry that I have to disagree, but if
you want to see how little is really built-in, you just have to press F5
when starting DOS and try again, and you will see that most of your
so-called "built-in" software is no longer readily accessible - hardly
what one would consider "built-in". ;-)
