Freelists is supposed to work with plain text messages as in RFC2646
(as are most list servers), but has one of the worst reputations for
compliance, especially in support of Quoted-Printable and Base 64
encoded plain text. The most common problems Freelists users see have
to do with extra characters "= or =20" inserted at line breaks (and
similar characters seemingly at random sometimes) on base64 encoded
plain text mail from Outlook.
