Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!
Some of the web based services scan file attachments, but many still use the
outdated "no executable file attachment" policy in an attempt to slow the
spread of malware.
And no, the majority of users don't know what a file extension is, nor file
type...MS Windows hides file extensions for the most part unless, like myself,
you choose the option to show file extensions.

I don't know about that. I've only had one do this. Maybe it's kinda
common but I don't think it's almost all, is it?
