Gosh Jason, you make me feel a little weird. I usually do
watch my boot sequence, even tho I've never found drying
paint to be a real thrill. It's one reason I don't use
splash screens. I've been trying to shut down my computer
more often in an attempt to be more "green". I  used to
never reboot hardly, except to install a newer version of
the OS. It would go months without a reboot. I use dmesg
alot too. Oh well.

I find the phrase, "don't even pay attention to the boot sequence." funny as heck. I think they have better things to do like watching paint dry. I can just imagine me telling my wife, "Now don't go anywhere while your computer is booting. Yeah, that's right, you can't go get your coffee while linux boots up. You have to watch the boot sequence."
