Yes I've looked at CUPS.  No drivers for it.  The particular printer in 
question ia a SiPixA6.  Very nice printer and super-portable too.  It
will work with serial ports and IR ports, but with Window$ only.  I
suppose it could be made to work also with linux if there were a linux
driver available for it.  I know from experience that it works great
with Win98SE and Win2K.  Also I know from experience and also from the
manufacturer's fine manual that in order to get it to work with an IR
port, the IR port must be set up and configured to use COM4.
