And yet some do ! From MS-DOS 6.20, with a set of USB drivers, I can
access flash cards, a USB remote hard disk drive, USB memory sticks, and
even my cell phone.

And it is the lobbyists that are often the ones to make it happen.
Because they can; because they want to; because they need somethng that
isn't available !
I seem to remember that the FTP agent I still use was put together by
you, Wizzie, because you needed it to do something that the existing FTP
couldn't do.
