Well, here in Germany, unless one uses one of those all-in-one services,
one has to pay for phone line and DSL separately. However, I can use the
same account with both dial-up and DSL connections, with the exception
that the fixed rate per month only applies to DSL connections whereas
dial-up connections are charged per minute, so I do not use dial-up
anymore unless the DSL is down for several days, which has happened a
few times.
