I also have several DOS-only computers. I would like to get them to

Arachne does broadband very nicely - I am using it now with Arachne 1.90JG-387.

Can anyone here please refer me to a "how-to"?

Get a hardware router. Makes Arachne simple.

 Cal

Hardware router?

What's that?

I am using a Linksys brand wireless router. It works
fine with my dual boot Window$ XP, Linux Ubuntu computer,
regardless of whichever operating system I am running.

My dual-boot computer is hard-wired to my DSL modem.

Would it be possible to do the internet by running Arachne
in the DOS emulator under XP? I don't think so, but I
haven't tried it.

Also I have a Win98 desktop computer that has an ethernet
card that works fine when connected to my router.

Of course I can get my Win98 desktop to boot to DOS,
but I don't suppose DOS would be able to recognize my
ethernet card. The system requirements for the ethernet
card that I installed in it specifies Win98 or above.
BTW, I know from personal experience that the same
ethernet card also works fine with Linux but the
manufacturer doesn't say that it does. It is a Linksys
brand ethernet card.
