Greg,

That was me...however, I think something else is afoot.
You were NOT using Arachne's "internal editor" when
you were composing this reply, but rather an external
editor, if my memory serves correctly you prefer Q Edit.
Could it be, possibly, that Q Edit is the actual culprit?
Something to keep in mind...Arachne "keeps" whatever
"text" is typed into ANY text input area in a file called
"TEXTAREA.TMP" in the Arachne directory. This file
may be an email message the user starts, or even a
web address typed into the address bar...heck, I've
even seen messages I've posted at GlennMcC's
AQC Clone of clone! The only particularly unweildy
feature of the "internal editor" is it is "called" with this
file, TEXTAREA.TMP loaded. Oh well, a series of
CTRL+Y strokes blanks everything.
Myself, I was never a big fan of Q Edit, even though I
have an old version on an currently unused hard drive.
I prefer NE text editor, or even MS Edit. I experimented
one time with NE for an external editor, but the 64 kb
file size limitation kept it from handling some attachments.
So, I gave that up and stayed with the internal editor.
Anyhow, you might want to check the options you are
utilizing to "call" Q Edit in your external editor DGI.
Also, since Q Edit is "multi-document" (MDI) type,
might try calling the external editor WITHOUT any
preloaded text, a clean "new" file...the drawback is
you would have to remember the exact filename and
path of the CNM file you were replying to.
