read anything from \trunk onward.

 This is known.  Anonymous access is from /trunk further only.  Permission
were tried at least 4 different ways and every ftp client and browser tested
would read straight through to the files.  6 ftp clients and 4 browsers did
it but not Arachne.

It is designed that way.  Only public files in /trunk

 You beat the update.  The point of this is everything else can read the
above link and for that matter /trunk/dos and /trunk.  What prevents
Arachne?

 By the way, if you go to http://wisdomtree.info  the dostcpip.htm file
discussed the other month is available re-written to have the links work
correctly in Arachne.
