You did have a connection established at one point between Arachne & the wifi modem when you were getting the 'hopefull blinking' of the lights on the wifi. I'm thinking that the problem is most likely with DNS. Try those settings again.... but this time try contacting a remote page via its IP address instead of its domain name. What works for me is to use the IP address of my router as the GateWay. And then to use the IP address of my DSL modem as the DNS So..... you might need to ask the admin of the network for the IP addresses of the Modem & Router. If the network is using a Modem/Router (both in one device), then the most likely settings that will work would be to have the same IP address in _both_ slots. (the IP of the Modem/Router) --- in arachne.cfg --- IP_Address WATTCP ---- and then somthing like this in the TCPconfig file --- my_ip = 192.168.1.100 <-- change as needed for your network netmask = 255.255.255.0 <-- required when my_ip is not bootp/dhcp gateway = 192.168.1.1 <-- change gateway & nameserver to match nameserver = 192.168.1.1 <-- the IP of the Modem/Router hostname=arachne <-- try both with & without hostname ______________________________________________________________________ I am certain that there are just one or two little settings that need to be 'tweaked' and you will be up-and-running with that wifi Good luck :) -- Glenn http://www.delorie.com/listserv/mime/ http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/doc/msdog.html http://www.glennmcc.org/ http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.table.html Arachne at FreeLists -- Arachne, The Premier GPL Web Browser/Suite for DOS --
