Yes, it is. But I hope you also realize that what is obvious to
you in your explanations is usually not as obvious to the person
you're trying to explain things to.

Of course it isn't an acceptable thing to do, as a random act.

But based on what your original message said, without my being
able to read between the lines, it seemed reasonable at the time.

Well, you didn't say it in the original posting.

But it was in the follow-up one. And I missed it.

I guess next time I shouldn't get so excited about finding
something new and wonderful and I should just sit down and have a
read right through the text. Then reread it so I'm sure I didn't
miss anything.

But at my time of life, there just doesn't seem to be enough time
for that.
