I thought the general consensus was that this list would discourage
off-topic discussions and try to stick to talking about Arachne.

Coollist has always been wide open to any topic that people primarily
interested in Arachne wanted to talk about, which frequently takes that
list far afield indeed. That same propensity was a vital factor on
the original Arachne list. The other traditonal thing about coollist
is that you can't unsubscribe! <ggggg> just like with the original
Arachne list that Michael wouldn't fix.

The  Yahoo list is objected to by some people because Yahoo is not
Arachne friendly.

This list has been dead for many weeks with no traffic to speak of,
although it appears to be functioning properly, people have not been
using it much. Don't know why that is.
