True.  xChaos was so busy building in features and correcting fatal bugs
that he seems to have had little time for the 'smaller' stuff.  
As I reorganize parts of the code, little bugs and inconsistencies pop
up all the time.  Just yesterday I noticed that Arachne has no default
download directory even though it does have a default mail directory --
little stuff like that.

It wouldn't be easy since the address, attachment, and other fields in
the mail screen must be entered as well as the text body of the message,
and it's hard to imagine how that could be done from within the 
external editor.  Thus you *have* to spend time at the internal editor
screen, even if it's just to enter those fields, -- and to press the
appropriate buttons for sending and forwarding, etc.
