This brings us back to an old discussion. Is there something wrong with the internal editor... if some listmembers have trouble and others have not? In the past we had a similar situation with the Arachne desktop not behaving as it should at some of us computers. The cause was the DOS version that came with Win95/98, not even all versions. This has been fixed in Arachne (I don't know how). Perhaps we should make an inventary of the systems used by the mebers that do have problems with the internal editor and those who don't. In order to detect what could be the cause... What I use, without problems: Pentium I, 75MHz or 233MHz Both computers have win95 installed of which the DOS (7.2 ???) is used for Arachne 1.61 (favourite) or 1.75. Both computers are booted DOS-only for Arachne and no ramdisk is used. Cache is on HD and is cleaned from time to time with F8. FAT16 file system is used on the HD. When I use Arachne NO OTHER programs are running on this machine at the same time, although I might break out from Arachne to other DOS programes like Norton Commander, external editor, external image viewer, GhostScript, ..... Some DOS programs use Arachne for image viewing or HTML view and edit. There is no home network.
