WHAT THE BLUE BLAZES IS HAPPENING HERE???

I have been downloading web pages without images for several
months, ever since it was suggested here that this would speed up
downloads. And the pages _have_ been downloading without images
ever since then, certainly right up to the last time I logged on
to check the HTML downloads.

But when I checked the above setting I found that it showed
"Downloading of Images - Multitasking" was "On".

How could that have been changed without my noticing it?
Shouldn't it have been downloading images? Wouldn't I have
noticed the images appearing?

And how could this be affecting downloading of mail?

Greg
