Thanks, Greg.
I am becoming convinced that my problems _may_ be related to some
hardware peculiarity in my system.
It has been suggested that the problem is the 8250/16450 UART in my
serial port. But why should this affect only the HTML downloads? And why
only with OpenDOS and not MS-DOS?
As has been said many many times, there is never only one cause for a
problem. It is always a combination of factors.
So maybe my UART is below par. But since the problem only occurs with
OpenDOS+Arachne+HTML pages, there must be other weaknesses in both
Arachne and OpenDOS that play up with the HTML pages.
I would be most pleased to hear that someone is looking into this, so
future users don't have the same trouble that I have had.

I will. And you enjoy your break.
