Select the file you want to edit, for example by entering
"file://*.htm" on the URL line and clicking on the desired
filename, then press F4.

If you don't have an external editor selected in the Options, you
will be in the internal editor.

OTOH, in some cases, if you have AutoDial enabled and an external
editor selected, F4 will autodial for you... I wish I knew why...
