One suggestion. If you use LSPPP (e.g. Joe's tools) you need a version
of Core with the BOOTP online timer fix ( ref 2DoList item 10

BTW, applying logic plus ignorance (in my case mostly ignorance <g> )
to your Open DOS problem:

Problem is limited to downloading data with OpenDOS. This specifically
involves: Modem IRQ etc handling, data buffering & possibly some
additional memory allocation.

Ignorance now takes over completely. Are there any options for buffer
configuration with OpenDOS? What happens if you keep the mouse moving
during downloads? Does the download speed up? does the mouse freeze?
