John,
Hmm, OK, here's what we'll do. Send me the EXACT email address
you wish to add to the list of subscribers, for example, let's say your
"lineone" address is john@xxxxxxxxxxx, just send me that address
and I can manually add to the list. Ordinarily, FreeLists will let you
change your profile, if you also joined them (which I did a long time
ago, but, with another email address. I now have to FreeLists user
names, hehe). The "Profile" settings have a place where you can
tell FreeLists that you are sometimes known as "john@xxxxxxxxxxx",
and allow posts from that address. By the way, in case some of you
also use PopMail PC 3.2.2, if you remember, this particular email
client, as well as Minuet and NuPop, will send email just fine, but,
the problem is it sends it from basically a "non-existant" address,
because it adds the user name to the server. So, when I send using
PopMail PC or NuPop, the "From" address becomes:
wizard57m@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This one little buglet will block AUTH_SMTP as well, so I can't send
from my SoftHome address. Arachne works with Softhome though.
So, keeping that in mind, I could go to my FreeLists settings page,
and make FreeLists recognize the email address used by PopMail...
in other words, treat "wizard57m@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" as just
wizard57m@xxxxxxxxxxxxx You can also set your profile to use a
"Reply to" address for the actual "Freelist user name".
I'll check into other features when I get a bit more time...been a bit
hectic with the Holiday and basketball games at my kid's school!
