Fwiw,
  I have no problems, using Arachne 1.73GPL, signing into yahoo, 
downloading files posted to the developer's group, even creating a 
directory (in the developer's group) and making a test text file wasn't 
a problem w/ Arachne. Not having upload capabilities is a problem, which 
I wonder if it is one too difficult to remedy. What are your thoughts on 
Arachne having upload capability? Iirc, some of the earliest versions of 
Mosaic had it... ;)
