No, they are not supported automagically by the system's BIOS.
I have another hard drive for this system which is not currently
installed. The other hard drive is for Windoze XP. If I were to
install the other hard drive, the one for XP, the stupid "found new
hardware" wizard would run whenever I attach to it a thumb drive
that has not been previously installed on this system. Sometimes
the stupid wizard will run even if I attach a thumb drive that had
already been installed before on the system.
