[arachne] Which DOS?

Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

I'm about to rebuild a 486 DOS box from the FORMAT C: upwards. Can 
the good folks on this list give their advice, preferences and reasons for 
which DOS to install? I have a collection from MS-DOS 6.2 to FreeDOS 
1.0 via DR-DOS, PC-DOS, PTS-DOS and ROM-DOS. Each seems to be good at 
something, but not for something else. I had almost decided on ROM-
DOS but then heard someone say that it did not play nice with 
Arachne!

For information, this PC will connect to the outside world by LAN. 
While there is a good quality modem on it, that will not be the main 
internet connection.
