I use Win 98 and after I starting using Firefox I didn't have any
problems whatsoever. IE was simply unusable. I also use a web interface
for my email, so hardly ever download a thing. AVG updates itself
almost every day and checks all the time. I don't do anything complex,
hate multi-tasking and I'm patient enough to still use dial up. I
don't have any problems with my setup at all. There's no reason for
me to change.

I don't use Linux because I find it's complexity daunting and it offers
way too many choices for my simple needs. Arachne and DOS would be
just fine for me except for the limitations we all know about. I wasn't
happy about needing to use something besides DOS and Arachne, but that's
the way it goes.

Of course your results may vary. People should use whatever works for
them and not worry about what other people might think.
