The point really is that windows is amde for people who can't or don't
want to understand the "nitty-gritty" of what goes on inside their
computer.

The result is that they need someone who does care and understand to
sort it out for them on a regular basis.

It's a bit like owning a car. Most people don't want to know what goes
on under the bonnet (hood for you Usans) so car has to go to the
service centre regularly, or when bits fall off, for oil changes,
repairs and safety checks.
