Sorry, Eric, but that is simply *wrong*. I just installed Arachne over
an existing installation and *all* old settings were in the so-called
"new" arachne.cfg file, including some I just added for the purpose of
proving this.

So I stand absolutely firm on what I said. :-)

Next time try yourself before claiming the opposite - or at least
provide an example of what was *not* working before making such a claim.

Regarding the "one-floppy-thingy", most people probably do not care
about the number of floppies since they install Arachne either from hard
disk (like me) or from a CD. There might already be those who do not
even know what a floppy disk looks like, though I doubt that those
people use Arachne. Nevertheless, fitting on a single floppy disk is no
longer an advantage over other software that would justify the lack of
support for SSL, Javascript, XHTML, DSL, etc.

Mind that not everyone still works with a steam-powered machine like
yours. ;-)
