Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club! > ...<lots of unconfirmed claims about what Arachne allegedly does>... Sorry, Eric, but that is simply *wrong*. I just installed Arachne over an existing installation and *all* old settings were in the so-called "new" arachne.cfg file, including some I just added for the purpose of proving this. So I stand absolutely firm on what I said. :-) Next time try yourself before claiming the opposite - or at least provide an example of what was *not* working before making such a claim. Regarding the "one-floppy-thingy", most people probably do not care about the number of floppies since they install Arachne either from hard disk (like me) or from a CD. There might already be those who do not even know what a floppy disk looks like, though I doubt that those people use Arachne. Nevertheless, fitting on a single floppy disk is no longer an advantage over other software that would justify the lack of support for SSL, Javascript, XHTML, DSL, etc. Mind that not everyone still works with a steam-powered machine like yours. ;-) Udo -- The DR-DOS/OpenDOS Enhancement Project - http://www.drdosprojects.de -- This mail was written by a user of The Arachne Browser - http://arachne.cz/ Arachne at FreeLists -- Arachne, The Premier GPL Web Browser/Suite for DOS --
