Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!
Hi Udo,
My <ggg> is not making fun of you....
it is a friendly grin...and...I am not making fun
of your English...I just wish I could understand
Deutsch as well as you do English. My mother
had the equivalent of a PhD in languages and
taught at Ohio State University and she never
forgot anything. She could read Latin and Greek
and German and more....better than my teachers,
but not much of that ability seems to have rubbed
off onto me. She used to do translations of
German technical/engineering correspondence
for my father and others. I can't do that! <ggg>
It is also very possible that I misunderstand
the intended meaning of your posts...It is much
easier to get the other persons meaning when
one is holding a conversation face to face.
BTW, my newest machine is 233MHz which
was discarded.......quite slow by current standards!
<ggg>
Also, I don't think any computer is too powerful
for DOS. I prefer DOS....I just haven't learned how
to do some things with DOS...and...some of my
necessary programs will not run in DOS.
Regards,
Eric
