you still do not get it. do you?

To me, it seems that there are *exactly two* viable alternatives
regarding your source code. Either we manage to merge your changes with
the main version, or we forget about it altogether.

IIRC, *you* are the one who says that your code is vastly superior to
ours, but I have only seen a seriously broken Arachne version so far
where you deliberately changed the coding style for no other reason than
to make merging it back as hard as possible it seems.

You really do not need to find arguments to persuade me that merging
your source code in whole would be a waste of time, because I am already
leaning towards that opinion.

I would prefer to do with your sources what I do with the Linux sources;
that is, use them as a software repository but do not try to improve
them.
