Well, currently it is still a DOS of the present, but if you want to
know more about it, just follow the link at the bottom and read the
"About" page.

I do everything I can do with Arachne. If I need SSL or Arachne fails
for some other reason, I use Lynx instead. If there is "light"
Javascript code in a page, I often try to rewrite the page to make it
work with Arachne before giving up - sometimes one only needs to add
code to display a "submit" button in a form or something like that.
More often than not, it is sufficient to just look at the Javascript
code closely enough to find out which URL it should direct one to and
enter it manually. I also have a Mozilla browser installed on DOSLinux,
but I regard it as a last resort and only use it for web sites I
desperately need to use, like the one of my university.

Yes, but this would definetely be a rarity nowadays. :-)
