There is a most highly recommended mountain spring located near me where
one can get "naturally purified waters fresh from the mountains" for
free. Free for personal use, but prohibited from being collected and
sold for commercial purposes. This spring is in the George Washington
National Forest. The health department periodically tests and analyzes
this water because they know that many local residents collect their
drinking water from there. Also they know that several local doctors
are recommending to their patients that they drink water from this
source. They know also that, according to very ancient Indian legends,
the water from this particular source has divine healing powers. One
day when I went there to collect a couple of gallons of drinking water I
met and talked with some health department technicians who were also
there to collect some of the water. They were collecting it for
testing. I asked them about how good the quality of this water is
according to their scientific testing. They told me that they have
compared by scientific testing its quality to that of many different
brands of commercially produced bottled water. They said that,
according to the results of their testing, many brands of commercial
bottled water are no better than ordinary tap water from the communities
around where I live, and that the water from this source is more healthy
for drinking than any of the commercial bottled water that they have
tested. Also they said that the natural water from this particular
source is superior to the natural water from other natural water sources
that have been tested within about a 100 mile radius.
