OTOH,

The female ass told the male prophet that he was on the wrong track, indeed, according to St. Peter, that his course was madness. But, being male, he ignored the warning, and went his way still, and lost his life as a result.

Dumb ass indeed!  Rather a stupid man who wouldn't listen to good advice.
