[arachne] Teaching evaluation

Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

Hi L.D., Greg M.,

L.D., Good luck with your health situation.

IMHO, the problem with most of our teaching
institutions is that the system is based on
getting a preordained result and student
evaluation is based on if the student can
duplicate that preordained result.
How the student decides whether to
answer "Yes" or "No" to some computer
question.....or ....how the student decides
to choose option A, B, C, D, or E is seldom
evaluated.

What does that student do when there is
no appropriate Yes/No answer....or....when
none of the options presented are appropriate
answers?? There isn't time to evaluate students
in such a way because they're too busy learning
for the "form" exams... AND WHAT ICONs to click on !
