And now to get back 'on topic'.
Anyone who has been on these mailing lists for years has heard me state
this many times, but it stands repeating. <g>
Please believe me... I agree that Arachne is sorely lacking in many areas.
(SSL (https), at-least minimal JS support, additional CSS support,
memory restraints, to name just a few)
My abilities as a programer are also sorely lacking. I simply do not
have the programming knowledge needed to add all of the needed features
to Arachne.
On the bright side.... In the time since Michael Polak opened the SRC,
we have had several programmers 'come on board' with abilities
far exceeding my own.
Joe da Silva, Ray Andrews, Christof Lange, Andrej Cuckov,
Michal Tyc, Vladimir B. Merlichenko, Laaca
(all named on about.htm in your Arachne_main dir)
These gentlemen _are_ making Arachne a better, more robust and more
capable browser than it ever has been in the past, and is already
much better now than it would have been without their modifications.
Please join me in giving all of them a very big 'THANK YOU !'
for all of the work they have done, and continue to do.
