[arachne] Someone has a virus

Attention to anyone who uses Windows software ...

Someone who has my e-mail address and that of a 'julie' has one of the
newer viruses (still?).

I am once again receiving 'could not deliver' notices for mail I didn't
sent to people I don't know containing a virus this DOS machine cannot
acquire.

What you may not be aware of is that some of the new viruses don't trash
your system and files -- because they are designed to USE your system to
set up 'backdoors' on other computers so that your system and the
systems of other unprotected users can then be used WITHOUT YOUR
KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT to send e-mail or do other nasty things.

If you are not running up-to-date anti-virus software, and not using a
'live monitor' module to protect you, please either update or download a
free trial version that will allow you to keep your computer free from
the [explitive deleted] making the rounds.
