An excellent system when you want to switch between two different
versions for comparison.
It is also useful when you have Arachne running from a RAMdrive and you
want to keep the mail files on the hard drive.

I guess so. He may decide to accept the default drive\directory for the
installation, or he may change it. After, the installer kindly gives him
the option, doesn't it?
And there are no warnings that changing it may make for difficulties
later.
